Coach Rick Loman:

            Rick graduated from Harmony High School in 1976. He then graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1989 with a bachelor of science degree in Health & Physical Education. He has been employed at Mountain View School District as a health and physical education teacher since 1989.

            His coaching positions have been numerous over the past 20 years. He was the boys' Junior High coach at Harmony Area Schools for the 1987-88 season. The following year (1988-89 season) he became the boy's varsity head coach. He was then hired as the boys varsity head coach at Mountain View School District (1989-92).

            It was at that point in his life that he wanted to spend more time with his family. He took three years away from coaching. He coached his sons' recreational basketball leagues at Green Ridge and Lackawanna Trail (1995-2006).  At this  time he also coached a number of teams at Our Lady of Peace School in Clarks Green, PA.

            In 2006 he coached the 6th grade boys AAU basketball regional team at Hoop City and in 2007 he coached the 7th grade boys AAU basketball regional team at Backcourt Hoops.  His family includes his wife, Kathy, and their sons, Chris and Corey. He resides in Dalton, PA.
